Are you insured?
Yes I have very comprehensive insurance which covers all my equipment, liability and professional indemnity – you can request to see confirmation of this at anytime after your booking.
What happens if your equipment breaks or fails?
I shoot all weddings with two cameras and a mix of zooms and prime lenses (plus a spare camera in my bag) so that I always have multiple back ups in case anything were to go wrong.
When you say Britain & Beyond – exactly how far will you travel?
Honestly, anywhere you want me. I’ve photographed weddings from London to the mountains and lakes of Italy and will genuinely go anywhere. It’s a complete adventure for me so if you want me there and I’m available then i’ll be there!
What is your wedding photography approach and style?
As Creative Wedding Photographers my approach is honestly very laid back. If you’re looking for a photographer who is in his element organising group shot after group shot then that’s not me, nor am I in my comfort zone spending hours at a wedding posing you and staging photographs to make you look all mean and moody. During a wedding day or a portrait session I simply photograph people in their natural environment, laughing, joking, smiling, crying sometimes and looking thoroughly in love. Whatever genuine emotions and real life situations occur during your day, is my job to photograph them quickly and artistically, without anyone ever realising that I even clicked my shutter.
How long is your photography coverage?
I currently have four different day rates available: Half a day which is 3-4hours, two different three-quarter day rates (6 and 8 hours) and a 10 hours rate to cover bridal prep all the way through to the first dance.
How do we make a wedding photography booking?
You can send me an email via my contact page filling in your details, wedding date and requirements, then I can confirm if I am available for your chosen date. Next I will send you a price list for you to look over. If you are happy to continue I will arrange a little meeting with you to show you my portfolio and samples. During this meeting I will give you a booking form so you can decide whether you’d like to make a confirmed booking, if you are happy to proceed all you need to do is fill out the form and include a £250 deposit within 5 days of our meeting to secure the date. When all paperwork and deposit is received, I will send you a signed confirmation for your records. Now your date is fully reserved, and I will not accept any other clients for that date. The balance will be due at least two week prior to the wedding date.
Do you provide a written contract?
Yes. Unlike many wedding photographers I feel that a written contract is vital. It lays down in writing my exact obligations, agreed prices etc and gives you peace of mind knowing you have a written document.
What happens after the booking?
We’ll then start pre wedding consultations leading up to the day. Further, if included in your package, a date is arranged for the pre wedding/engagement session. This is also an opportunity for me to get to know a bit more about you.
Where and when will the pre wedding/engagement shoot take place?
It’ll normally take place somewhere in London. Preferably at some place that holds some special meaning to you. Ideally due to having to shoot events over the weekend, most of our engagement sessions take place during the week. But sometimes I do manage to arrange a weekend shoot.
What are included in the wedding photography package?
All my package includes: A consultation chat over tea and cake or on Skype (I prefer meeting over tea and cake. My treat.), a Venue Visit together with you, an USB of high resolution fully edited photographs and a private online gallery holding all the photographs. Optional Extras include: Books, Albums, Thank-you cards and additional USBs.
How many wedding photographs would I receive on the USB?
It depends on which type of package you choose. Usually you can expect 350 photographs for the 3-4 hours coverage up to 800-1000 photographs for the 10 hours coverage, all high-res and fully edited.
What about the Albums?
All of my albums are made here in the UK or in Italy. They’re pretty stunning and I firmly believe you’ll still be grinning when you look at them in 25 years time! Having an album is not something that I’m ever going to force on you and there is absolutely no sale pitch on my part. If you’d like one, then I would love to design an album for you. You get to pick which cottons, leathers or leatherette to cover it. They are 100% bespoke for you and like many of my previous clients you will want to carry it around and show it off to everyone you meet.
Who owns the copyright to the wedding photographs, can I print my own?
Of course with the USB you can share the images and print your own photographs directly from there, the photographer always retains the copyright which means you cannot sell them on to third parties, but I happily give you the permission to personally print as you wish.
What happens if we cancel or want to change the date of our wedding?
On the very rare occasion that you might have to cancel or adjust your confirmed wedding date I have a very simple and fair system in place. Should a cancellation happen after a booking unfortunately loose the deposit. If a cancellation were to happen within three months of the wedding date a 70% payment will be required as it is very unlikely that another booking could be found this close to the wedding date. If rescheduling is necessary your deposit can be transferred to your selected date and no fees will be applied. The balance will be due at least two week prior to the wedding date.
Can we pay part before and part after the wedding?
No, I’m afraid not. All payment must be received in full before the date.
