floralia

“Come, Mother of Flowers, that we may honour thee with merry games; let my song run side by side with the shows in the circus. Tell me thyself who thou art; the opinion of men is fallacious; thou wilt be the best voucher of thine own name.”

OVID, FASTI 5

In the Ancient Rome, The Floralia was a festival in honor of the goddess Flora. The festival included Ludi Florae, the "Games of Flora", which lasted for six days under, from the end of April until May.

Flora is one of the most ancient goddesses of Roman religion: goddess of flowers, vegetation, and fertility.

This is my little tribute to celebrate the beauty of nature and thank our Mother Earth who’s providing such beautiful gifts.
